stage 1 V4 ecu mod (any good?)

I have a '94 Barselona Red LSi w/ 100,500 mi. I have added a stage 1 ram air filter, a shift kit and an outboard AT cooler (all @ 97,000). When I purchased it it had 96,000, needed brakes (rotors pads etc.) and some body work (dings and chips mostly). Also, nixed the resonater for a straight pipe.
It seems to run very good, although, it can be a bit sluggish at low RPM around town. I usually keep it in 3rd while under 45 mph.
I am concidering a $220 chip (stage 1 v4 ecu mod. from Small Car Perf).
I am slowly trying to put this SVX in excellent cosmetic and performance condition. Stock except for some peformance upgrades...
Any help out there before I pony up $220 + install?

Thanks!

Its worth it, I just put mine in last week. Stage 2 is far more fun though. :)
