Fuel Tank

anyone ever drop one of these down from there SVX? i need to replace two rusted leaking fuel lines at the D/S upper part of the tank. any write ups for this? if not, i guess i'll just get my air ratchet out and go to town!!! thanks

To get the fuel tan out, you'll need to drop the rear subframe. I know that some people have left the rusted lines there and just run new rubber lines, dropping sections of FI rated fuel line down to detour the metal lines and then tying in where the lines are accessible.

if you do that make sure you double clamp the lines on both sides

Yeah, and I'm sure Mike knows this, but in case others reference it in the future you must use fuel line rated for Fuel Injection, and use fuel line clamps, not regular hose clamps.

Disconnect the battery, AFTER rolling down all of the windows and opening the sunroof.
Drain the tank, well ventilated area, no smoking, your mileage may vary, picture not actual size, etc., ets..
