Engine Oil Filter

Does anyone have good or bad things to say about engine oil filters? I'm changing my oil soon and want to know what people's opinions are about filters.

I'll be using Mobil1 Synthetic 10W30 if that makes any difference.

Just use Fram. I've never had a problem with this brand. I used them in my honda which I ran up past 200k untill sold. I had no problems.

I'm currently using a Fram Doubleguard filter but I've heard from someone that Fram uses a "plastic check valve" which is prone to failure. I haven't verified this myself and I haven't heard anything from anyone else about this issue...hence the reason for the post.
