Antenna mast repair/replacement howto
I just posted instructions on how to clean your antenna that won't go up or down completely, or how to replace an antenna mast.

We should put all the how-tos in one place though. And they are huge. Lwin |
FYI: The mast is replaceable *without* removing the motor. Simply remove the retaining ring, turn on the radio to extend all the way, then pull until the end of the thether pops out. To reinstall, leave radio on and pop the ball at the end of the tether back in, make sure the base of the mast is in, then turn the radio off and it should retract all the way. Finally, reinstall the retaining ring and you're done.

I still think it would be advantagous to clean and oil the other parts. Only adds 20 minutes to the job.

hey antenna fix...that sounds familiar, it is where it is suppose to be, but it doesn't go up. but i am okay with that who needs the radio when you got CD's and tapes to mess with while you are driving down the road:D
