Holy crap. I (and tons of other people) take that bridge almost every day for work.

OMG:eek: That some scary stuff. Makes ya think, ya drive over bridges every day and ya just take for granted that nothing can go wrong. How high is that bridge over the river?

My parents were on that bridge just saturday :eek:! We were always taking 35W when we went up to Cloquet/Duluth.

That's pretty insane though. Somebody is going to get sued.

My Sister lives in Ham Lake and was on that bridge earlier that day as she only lives about 20 miles north. I have driven over that bridge twice. I never liked bridges. The one in CA, known as Coronado bridge is what I frequented twice a day for four years. I would zip across that thing as fast as I could.

Hope everyone here, their relatives, friends, acquaintances, etc. are all OK.

At work we have the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineeers) report card for all the infrastucture in the USA. It's pretty grim. WE better start uing our tax dollars to repair/replace everything or this tragedy is going to be repeated many times. Heck, we take a lot better care of our SVXes (even with bad trannys, bearings, rotors, and droopy sun visors) than the state DOTs take care of the roads.

I am attaching the ASCE report card. Read it. It's sobering.

No way! If we do that, we don't have all the billions of dollars left to spend on pointless wars in the middle east! ;)
