Audio issues. or should I say NO-Audio!

After replacing my rear struts I lost audio?? (very easy by the way and the file in the how-to-Documents was very good and easy to follow.) those who have done the rear struts know that the interior back seat and rear deck have to be remove in order to the struts. With that said, does any one know if there's any audio plugs/connection that could have become loose in the process of taking the back interior apart? Unfortunately is all back in place and didn't notice that I had no audio until after.
The stereo lights up(its an after market about 2 yrs old) and works normally and I can see the track playing but can't hear it.
I balanced the speakers to the front and still no audio.
I balanced the speakers to the back and still no audio.
The antenna also doesn't come up.
I don't have an amplifier. I already checked the speaker connections.

any suggestions??

Re: Audio issues. or should I say NO-Audio!

The rear speakers and antenna do go through connectors B100/R6, but those are towards the front (near the right door sill). After R6, it's just a bundle of 22 wires that eventually split out to various plugs in the rear.

If all speakers are now dead, you may have shorted one of the rear speaker wires and your HU is shutting down its internal amps. Sounds like you nicked one of the motor antenna wires, too.

I suggest unplugging the harness from the HU and use an ohm meter to check if any of the speaker outputs are shorted together or to ground.

But you're probably going to have to pull the seat again and look closely over the wires.

Thank you for the response. I will try that.
