fun times

sounds like a lot of problems lately.

i have a new one too. my front left mud guard broke in front of the wheel and i drove on it which was fun. luckily i had a huge twist tie and i tied it up... wait.. i mean zip tie. i had a huge zip tie and i zipped it up nice and ugly. then i slashed my thumb open trying to cut the slack off with a brand new knife. that felt pretty good. still does.

my advice is to avoid snow berms and to carry some scissors or snips.

also a mechanic said my t fluid isnt rated to sub zero temps. crap. is that the weird burning scent i smelled when it dropped to neg 2? what would happen if i let it sit below its operating range?

i just bought some fog bulbs a couple weeks ago, and upon inspection it seems i do have some installed.
i tried pulling one out and it was quite difficult, mainly due to the cold air freezing my fingers and hot radiator scalding the rest of my hand. good times.

heres the Q: there is a wire hanging down from the bulb...

screw it im going to go look again and check out what i can do...

...
not too much. man its cold outside. took some pics of some stuff. i ned to turn the little thingy and some get it out and stuff. thats too hard for sub-zero temps.

Tranny Fluid

Not sure about the temp rating on tranny fluid. In Minot (North Dakota) the temp will drop down to -35 easy during the winter. Isnt it fun waking up to that every morning for a month straight?.. Anyways. I never had a problem, other then having the TC not lock up when driving into a 35 MPH head wind one February morning. Let me know what you find out. When I get back to N.D. for good I might have to flush the tranny.

the tc wont lock if the components are too cold. ive found it shifts much better than when warm and holds pressure better. im not at all concerned with the rating because the operating temp is always the same.
