Ever seen this SVX before?

Mmmmmmm Ricey.

That price is - well, should I say a little on the HIGH side! Maybe not with all of that horse power he has got under the hood! ;)

JLittell 06-03-2003 05:04 PM

Gotta laugh at these kind of adds when it comes to the SVX. I can't believe that there are people out there selling these cars who don't have a clue as to what they are really selling... or in this case talking about. As "Wheels" mentioned...Price is quite exaggerated! The Horsepower might be correct if your planning on driving downhill with the wind at your back for the rest of the cars life.

Yes, I know this guy. My '92 is currently riding on the stock rims that used to be on his car.

If you look past all the mods, the car is actually in excellent shape. He had it repainted (not a color change) when I bought the wheels from him in 2000. It also has a chip and, of course, the wing.

I will say though that if one were to buy it and change it back to it's previous condition, it'd be one hell of a catch.

ensteele 06-03-2003 06:36 PM

It may be in good shape, but the price is WAY TOO high for a GOOD catch! If someone could get him down to a resonable price, it may be an alright car.

Wheels :)

OH MY GOD what a HIDEOUS wing

BLOT THAT OUT....and it does look like a nice one! :)

bit pricey though....hopefully just a lot of wiggle room? ;)

Batmobile

Probably needs all that extra horsepower to push the stupid wing through the air.

Not that I'm complaining, but does it seem that there has been some "price creep" on SVXs over that last couple of months? From watching Ebay, it looks like fairly stock versions are going for upwards of $6 to 10k. Doesn't explain the $16k this guy wants (maybe you can get it for $10k w/o the wing:p )

Subafreak 06-03-2003 09:29 PM

Ya, the value finally coming back up,

Thats the same wing some guys got on a new Intrepid around here. The thing is wider than the damn car.

SVXit,

Was that Charlie's SVX? He ran the second DC SVX Meet.

CigarJohnny 06-04-2003 06:49 AM

It looks like it's in great shape but that price he's asking is insanely high. Especially for a non-touring package. If he gets anywhere near that amount it is definitely a good sign for the rest of us. :)

NomadTW 06-04-2003 08:00 AM

i think that he deffinately knows what he's selling
and probably knows that 17000 is too much for the car

i think he's hoping to find a customer who doesn't

That seems a little silly, if you're right. I mean, somebody who could find the car on the internet in the first place could just as easily know how to type 'www.kbb.com.' :D

Yep, that's him. And for those wondering, he may very well still have the stock wing. He offered it to me for about $150 or so at the time I bought his wheels, but I didn't want to get into the hassle of getting it repainted.

I saw him trying to auction it on eBay a while back, so who knows.

As for t he price, if anyone's interested, I'd say make him an offer and take it from there. He'd probably be willing to do some negotiating.

It's an LSi. I remember it in its pre-modded state. It's got leather, sunroof, AWD, the works. But yeah, the price is a wee bit steep. Just a wee bit. :)
