Giorgetto Giugiaro's Ital Design firm that is responsible for the design of many great cars, including the SVX, recently developed a new shape for pasta which is currently all the rage in Italy. The design permits the sauce to be held inside the pasta. It was derived from an automobile door-seal gasket.
It's nice to know that good design can be cross pollinated across different industries. I
I can't wait till this pasta comes to America... my mouth is watering.

Not coming anytime soon. Designed back in 1983 and testing proved it to be problematic and a failure.
