cars101 spec page has (for a 92 anyhow) Fuel economy: 17 city, 25 highway. 16 is normal. Better than I get, that's for sure.

92-97, the engine in the SVX stayed exactly the same so MPG would be very very similar.

If you're really that concerned about it, replacing the knock sensor and O2 sensor may help you out a bit. It also helps to not drive it like you stole it.

  • How far are you driving
  • How often do you drive
  • How are the road conditions
  • What is the average temperature and altitude
  • What grade fuel are you using
  • Was this a sudden change in MPG
  • What MPG were you getting before

trieck1232 11-03-2006 07:20 PM

50/50 split highway and city not romping on it i like to go quick but not ever over about 3 grand on the tach, im above the sea in iowa and mabie i do how would i check if i have a chip in it?

SomethingElse 11-03-2006 07:23 PM

it might have a red wire coming out of it if they decided to use the optional setting. if they didnt you would have to take the ecm down and take the 4 screws out and look in it.

trieck1232 11-03-2006 07:25 PM

this is over the drivers feet correct, this is where i found the tach wire for my remote start install

SomethingElse 11-03-2006 07:30 PM

yea theres 2 modules together a brass looking color one and a flat silver one, ecm and tcm. qty3 10 mm bolts hold them on.. the ecm is the silver one
