Problem with chat?
 

Funny, I've never been able to get into the chat room here. I just get an empty box with a placeholder. Not that I'm the chatty sort but others might have the same problem limiting the usefulness of the feature. I'm using a standard dial up Win 98/IE5.5 box. Ideas anyone? B.

Do you have java disabled on your computer / do you ever have similar problems with other sites? Like, if you go to:
http://www.knox.edu/abazan/fun.html
does it load?

In either case, you can join in chat with a normal irc client, like mIRC from:
http://www.mirc.com/

Just connect to irc.subaru-svx.net and join #svx

I can't see that java is disabled but I can't load that site either. Time to try mIRC. B.

OK, that works. What a blast from the past. Just like the old text based bbs. Wish I could figger out why java applets won't load. Tnx again...

P.S. (edit 3/15) had to reload MS virtual machine http://www.microsoft.com/java/ and that fixed it. B.
