Avatars
...I'm having trouble getting an avatar to work,
seems it's always too large of a file......so bear with me while I work out some bugs..... TIA Tim |
avatars...
....Hmmmm, I'm not having much luck!
Tim |
I do not know what is available in a search, haven't looked. I had a long time getting mine to work. I had to find a program that would resize by pixel size. I used "Paint" under /image/attributes/pixels.
|
The largest size the software will take is a 50 pixel by 50 pixel image.
I have a program that resamples by percentages. I just keep lowering the percentage until I get the closest value. |
post the picture you want. i can re-scale it in Photochop for you, but i'll have to do it late tonight because i'm leaving for work soon.
|
I guess I should've offered.
Mike, send it to me at trspit80@aol.com and I'll re-size it for you. BTW, do you have any more Black SVX shirts like the ones you brought to Vermont? I'd love to have another one of those. I've almost worn out the one I bought. :D:D:D |

Hey if someone wants to "re-pixel" my picture for me,
here is the link......I hope: TIA, again, Tim |
I've almost worn out the one I bought.
Nope, but I'm due to print some more, just for myself!
I suppose if I started a thread, and all that, there may be a demand- but I'm too busy at the moment! Maybe next month. BTW, Refresh my memory...what did you look like? I must've looked a mess: woke up at 4AM, and drove straight to be there in the AM...with my sister in law. Don't ask. Tim, not Alan;) |

it may not be real clear because of the rectangular shape - the width is 50pixels, but to keep it to scale the height ends up being 22. best to find a pic in a square shape. |

Tim, I tried re-sizing the pic to 50x50. Trouble is, at that size, it kinda looks like a brown and serve roll. You can't really tell what it is. The pic looks great, at size, though. |
Tim, not Alan
...whoops, I mean: Tim, not Mike!

try this - might be a little better, i cropped some of the empty space off.
edit: not really. :( nice pic, but it doesn't make a good avatar. |

Here's the best I can do.

Sorry, Tim. There are just so many Mikes, I tend to call everyone Mike. Just call me stupid. As for what I looked like, I was driving an SVX. :D Just kidding. Here I am wearing your fine creation at the 10th anniversary meet. I had the sleeves rolled up (obviously). Maybe you should do some muscle shirts. :) http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/vzSvx/3461.jpg |
. I had the sleeves rolled up (obviously).
...strange, I don't remember meeting you yet you look exactly
like I pictured! Anyway, thanks for the help...I pretty much was able to do the same thing, but I thought maybe you'd know some tricks to make it look good. How come so many other "avatars" look so cool though? And not for nuttin': this board contains the most imaginative, intelligent, helpful, and downright coolest people...that I often wonder what I'm doing here! T-shirts... for everyone! Tim "have single-handedly screenprinted close to a million T-shirts...actually, sometimes I use two hands." |
