wierdest sound from cruise control
 

hey guys, i need some help with my CC. so here's whats up; my cc stopped working a couple years ago, some where between the new motor and tranny swap and front end collision. now i've decided i can't live w/o it any more so i've been trouble shooting. i checked the obvious, and the vaccume hose is connected, got a new dash button cluster, got a new cc module/ with the two relays on top that is behind the glove box. now i may try a steering wheel switch but a weird thing happend after i got the cc module. i went to go test it out and pressed the dash button while i was in park, just to see if the light comes on, and well the light came on but the car let out the loudest grinding noise untill i switched it off again, same thing happens every time i push it while stopped, it sounds like i'm grinding gears in a 5 speed manual. it does nothing while driving at speed but the light does turn on. this is some frustration stuff, any ideas? besides drive it off a cliff. thanx for sharin my pain.
