There is a console cupholder that came with the SVX, but that ebay one is not it. I've heard that the real Subaru ones sell for about $50 on ebay (when the come up).

I wonder if there is one from another car I can mold into there?

On the T-bird I used one from a Taurus and it worked perfectly

I keep my original cupholder in a bubble wrap envelope, waiting for that magical day when their value climbs to over one thousand dollars on eBay. :D

I've never understood the demand on these things.... They are too far back to be usable. I definately understand originality. But that's the second reason I keep it in a bubble wrap envelope.

The demand for me would be theres no place to put a damn cup !

Anyone got one in their car installed from another car or Subaru?

The most popular cup holder for the SVX is the Wedgie. :) The are around $4.00 at Walmart. :) Do a search and you can see what they look like. ;)

Never do a Google search for "wedgie"  :D

Forget the elusive Wal-Mart search. Get it from Autobarn

http://www.autobarn.net/wedautcup.html

It is only $4.99 and the great thing is it comes in gray and taupe (which is really a close match for the tan interior) as well as the black.

My Legacy has the cupholders built right into the dash..gotta love FHI :D.

f--- Walmart! The gray matches very well for those with the gray cloth or (fake) suede interior.

Yesterday I picked up one off Ebay

I saw the listing for the visor clips and wanted to try one for now instead of the velcro. Clips work fine and are easy to do. Then he showed me the cup holder and I got one of them too. Fits nice and both are made well. Very nice guy to deal with and has a sharp SVX too.

From what I've seen of the "new" cupholder, it's essentialy the same as the OEM at a fraction of the cost, might as well buy one of them if you are looking for "original" I use the wedgie, and it works well, but not perfect. I believe a few people here have used the in-dash ones from the legacy line, but the problem with those is that they block the radio (as they do in the legacy)
As noted, the same guy sells visor clips, "seat restore" (leather dye) for the gray interior and hood strut supports
I've have the dye (will probably use it this comming week), and thought about the cup holder (for the hell of it) and other items as well (also for the hell of it), but the shipping is on the pricey side (maybe we can arrange a network discount??)

I have one. I just sent the mold to my contact in China for reproduction. Waiting for the cost for a 500 unit run.
