more questions!

bear with me! as just picked up the car.... way too excited...

for the rear defroster and cruise control main switch, are the signs supposed to be lit on the buttons? not the activation amber light but the graphic itself just like the hazard light button.. thanks for helping..

also, anyone could advise sources for electronic files of part list and repair manual?

Illumination

Here is what SHOULD have green illumination when your LIGHTS ARE ON.

Besides the general illumination of the instrument panel, gear selector and climate controls, here is a list of the switches/ buttons that should be illuminated:

Overhead console switches:
The wording in the row of four buttons that say SPOT DOOR ROOM SPOT should illuminate green.
The sunroof open and close switches with the arrows are not illuminated.

Dash buttons
The words on the CRUISE and SECURITY buttons and the FOGLIGHT symbol, on the left side of the steering column should illuminate green. They also have amber LED's to show when they are on.

The symbol on the REAR DEFROST button on the right side of the steering column, should be illuminated as well. An amber LED confirms when it is on
The red triangle on the HAZARD button should illuminate solid red.

Lower dash (left side)
The symbols in the HEATED OUTSIDE MIRROR switch and the PARKING LIGHT button next to it, should illuminate green.

The heated mirror switch has an amber LED to show that it is on. The parking light switch has no amber LED indicator on the 1992 cars. (On my 96, there is an amber LED in this switch to show when it is on, the 92 does not have this LED)

The MIRROR control button has no illumination for the word "MIRROR". However the four directional arrows that are on the round button should illuminate green.

The only button left is the small green light in the AUTO button in the driver's side window power switch cluster. The word AUTO, like on the mirror switch does not illuminate. No other window buttons have illumination.
,

SPOT DOOR ROOM SPOT - wording on overhead console buttons illuminated green

CRUISE - wording illuminated green (amber LED when active)
FOG - symbol illuminated green (amber LED when active)
SECURITY - wording illuminated green

REAR DEFROSTER - symbol illuminated green (amber LED when active)
HAZARD - triangle illuminated red

HEATED OUTSIDE MIRROR - symbol illuminated green (amber LED when active)
PARKING - symbol illuminated green (no amber LED on the 92)
MIRROR CONTROL ARROWS- directional arrows on round button illuminated green

AUTO POWER WINDOW
- LED illuminated green on this switch

The wording on the mirror control is not illuminated.
The word AUTO on the power window switch is not illuminated.
The sunroof buttons are not illuminated.

The chart that shows all the part numbers for the bulbs can be found in the How-To documents HERE.

There is no Sunroof Switch Control Light; this is an error in thr .pdf file.
