Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

I can not get your pedals to fit. I am trying to "test fit" them so I can see where to drill but the buggers are colliding with the copious items under the dash.
Most of the harm is on the gas pedal side. There is no room at all to negotiate. What's the trick. My car is in 9237492395 pieces and hulk want to smash.

The steering column is going to be a ***** because someone wired up some weird crap with stray green wires all over the place. :(

Oh well..

Yeah, it is a huge PITA anyway.
Don't worry though, be patient and you'll "git-er-dun"... the pedals were the worst part of the swap for me:removing the gas pedal all together will help you quite a bit. It will need to be modified as it gets in the way anyway... unless tom's kit includes that

You'll see what I mean when you go to reinstall it. I think a simple bend will do the trick. I remember cutting something, but can't remember what, and certainly could have been unique to my conversion.

For the wires, you could put multi-colored electrical tape on the wires in two place to signify the relevant connects to reunite the two ends after you cut in between your e-tape "markers". If they are close enogh together, just throw some nomex connectors on them and be done with it, just remember to do them one at a time!

I cannot get my steering column out so I am working with it laying on my chest.

Does the clutch pedal bar go OVER the black mounting bracket for the steering column? I'm exhausted from trying to cram it in there and it doesn't seem to fit any other way. I honestly think I could have left the column alone.

This would be infinitely easier if the clutch cylinder mounting bolts were not welded to the thing. I may end up cutting them off.

Forgot I took that pic. The thing giving me the most trouble is the thing labeled "sh_t" in the top picture.

Two options here

1. You can patiently get the pedals to align above that black support

2. You can trim the lip off that support to make life easier... Just be careful what you are cutting

There's no way I can cut that. I can't fit my air tool in there.

The bolts keep getting caught in that rubber **** on the firewall, I'll probably just rip it out and hit pointy things with hammers until I croak or get it in.

Oh, and it looks like someone removed all this crap before doing the autostart install. They really made a mess of things.

I didn't need to trim anything. I am about to make that hole or two holes in the firewall, but I'm wondering what to do with the 3 hard brake lines that line up dead center with where the hydraulic cylinder needs to go.

Eh Bat'Qul if you want to drop by Sunday and hang out I'll be doing this all day long. Looks like the trans will be going in provided everything is squared up. I'm not quite sure about a couple things, like what the spring on the clutch fork is supposed to connect to.
I sure could use a hand moving the trans around and maybe leaning the engine back a bit. It's supported by a stand (1 of 6) but tilted forward a couple degrees because of a huge dent the oil pan aquired from somewhere.
Oh, PM me if you want directions to my pad.

Great, now the steering column decides to pop out when I need it to stay in..
