I personally disagree with 75% of what they have to say about the SVX. Of course I'm SVX-biased, but their comments on just about everything either have the bar set too high, or they just plain suck at testing cars. Check it out. See what you think. And if you're selling your SVX to an SVX-newbie, be sure that truly interested buyers don't visit this site. :rolleyes:

I see nothing wrong in that article at all. Gas mileage DOES suck for city driving and the back seat IS too small for adults when a tall person is seated up front. It should never have been marketed as a 4-seater. I feel it is a 2+2. The cockpit, while very comfortable, is on the cramped side for passengers, both front and rear. I have some big friends and they seem squeezed when in the front passenger seat, even when the seat is all the way back.

Other than that I saw no "negatives" pointed out for the car and found it to be very fair and accurate as far as reviews go. You need to lighten up and not be so defensive about your "Honey". ;):p

I've never seen that written before, but sure have some klunking in the front end when going over bumps in my '96.

Anyone know if this was common to the later years?

anything newer than 93 will have the modified strut mounts.

Your mounts could just be worn. How many miles?

133K. When it's up on a lift, everytning is tight. I'll have to check out the suspension a little more thoroughly this weekend.

I found it to be relatively close. I would have rated it better on ride quality and insurance. My insurance is almost the same as the V-6 Mustang I had. But they did say it was rated compared to all cars, not just cars in its class. As for gas milage, interior and trunk space. I totally agree. I travel alot, my back seat is used for my luggage, and the 8 year old little relative that had to ride behing the driver couldn't put her feet on the floor until I moved my seat up (I'm only 5'8" tall). The gas milage is close to what I get. Hwy is almost dead on, but I get about 18.2 around town (I dont live in a large city with a stoplight every block eigher).

Uh, yeah right. The '92 model actually got the fastest acceleration times over the later years. Hence the basis for the mysterious '30hp' theory...

Here we go: I definitely disagree with the ratings about ride quality and insurance costs. The MPG seemed to be pretty accurate. I disagree with about half of the listed prices for replacement/rebuilt parts (alternator, tranny, CVs, timing belt). I disagree with the statement about the struts. I also disagree about the statements on interior space. Myself and three of my good friends all fit comfortably into the car (we're all pretty close to 6' and 140 - 160lbs). The rear seat space is not that bad. Ever been in the rear seats of a '92 - '96 Prelude or any 3000GT? Much worse.

WTF is this??? poor acceleration is "Programed" into the ECU... Were they born retarded and incompetent or did they have to work at it???

Nope I haven't been in the back of either of those cars, but I have been in the back seat of an SVX once... I didn't really like it all that much... I'm 6'1" and about 175lbs... I had to tilt my head to the side because the headroom isn't that great... Not that I care though because you'll NEVER catch me in the back seat of MY SVX.... No I have been in the back seat of a Mitsubishi Eclipse and let me just sat that I have NEVER been so uncomfortable in a car in my entire life!!!
