Pass. side hoses to radiator (transmission or not)?
As the title suggests, is this one of the the hoses from the transmission into the radiator to cool it? For the life of me I've spent 40 minutes trying to find a diagram that shows it but I fail. Apparently I also have all the PDF service manual sections except the transmission? Nice.
From what I can see on Subaruparts it appears to actually be the driver side. However, if that is the case... what hose is this too? If it IS the transmission cooling line, that would quite possibly explain the billion air bubbles in the ATF. If it's not then wth is it? (is the power steering cooled somehow through the rad too?) :o http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7210/6...d465b388_b.jpg |
Re: Pass. side hoses to radiator (transmission or not)?
If the line actually connects to the radiator, it should be for the transmission. The power steering hoses go to a loop for cooling just in front of the radiator.
The transmission hoses run on the drivers side, while the power steering hoses run on the passenger side. |

Mine looked the same way, and mine was definitely valve covers and cam seals (since repaired). |

Thanks guys. Yeah there's an oil leak up here but the line leak is for sure red atf. The driver side lines are perfectly dry and normal looking. Hmm

Gravety works. However I would say that most SVXi have/are using hoses, gaskets, and seals that are getting old, hard and dry. It is hard to say without actually being there.:o |
