Jumping the Neutral Safety
1 Attachment(s)
i'm looking at the wiring diagram for the INHIBITOR "NEUTRAL SAFETY" Switch
do i jump the LT GRN/YEL for N INDIC? or do i jump the BLK/YEL (starting/charging) and BLU/WHT (or BLK/WHT) SYSTEM? I uploaded a pic of the section of the wiring. |
Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety

Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
I looked earlier but didn't understand the question...
What are you trying to "jump"? |

Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
what if i'm not using the switch on the pedal? can i just wire em together?
|
Yes, but your cruise control will no longer work.

Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
Thanks, someone should prolly add that to the How-TO

Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
last question,
does the TCU still need to be plugged in for this to work? wasnt sure if that part of the wiring is connected to the ecu. |
Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
The TCU can be removed.
And make sure that you use a heavy wire to either jump the pins or run to the clutch pedal. |
Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
thanks Dave, i think all i have is 14ga, wire anyways, i was just wondering cause i dont wanna have to put that thing back in there, the wiring under my dash is a mess from the previous owner who had a bunch of stuff installed.

lol how the hell did i miss it, i guess i was mainly following Tom's writeup since he used the hydraulic clutch.

Re: Jumping the Neutral Safety
the wiring on my transmission is weird, it doesnt follow that coding at all,
that row for my was blk/yel, blk/wht, brown, yellow/blue. i wired the neutral wires to a switch :P, so if i leave my car parked and someone tries to take it the switch will be off :D |
I did the same thing. I put the reverse lights on a switch as well.
