135mph in 3rd gear?

Were my eyes playing tricks on me? is this the 3.54 gear ratio at work?

Doesn't seem right to me. I think mine redlined and hit 4th at 125 MPH with stock gears. Now it does it at 100 MPH.:D

I've gotten the speedo to 135 while in 3rd so, no your eyes are fine (unless things are blurry for you) ;) :)

Dustin

P.s. On a race track, nothing dangerous, all that stuff.

Third gear, 1 to 1 ratio.
Redline, lets say 6500 RPM.
24.86" tall tire.
6500 divided by 3.5454545454=1833.333333323 axle RPM X 3.14159 X 24.86 = 143183.19 OR 2.2598356 miles per minute OR 135.590913 MPH!:D

Power Mode

In power mode one of mine would shift into 4th at just over 130.

mine usually shifts out of 3rd at around 128 at 6500 but if you put it in 3 instead of D you could probably go faster if you took it to 7000 rpms.

In Utah, population ~12, you can't find a stretch of road to break 100mph? You'd have to drive 200 miles to the next person to hit them.

...assuming you could lock the torque converter in 3rd gear. Mine would shift to 4th at 200kph with the shifter in "D" or 210kph with the shifter in "3".
