Need some advice

Hi, everyone. I have a list of fixes for my svx. There are so many that I dont know which to do first. Heres the list.

Timing belt
Water pump
powersteering fluid
brake pads
front brake rotors
fix my exhaust leak
get my grille painted

I will probably do the steering fluid this weekend. But other than that I need some advice on what prices for the items are. The timing belt and water pump are fine I just want to change them along with the rest, so I wont have to worry about it for a while. I already have an exhaust shop helping me with the exhaust. but I would like to know where I can find the best deal for the rest of the parts.

Thanks,
--Miles

Miles,
go to www.subaruparts.com. Click on "parts" then look for the line "if you have an SVX, click here" at the top.

They have an interface that lets you shop for parts with diagrams. You don't have to buy to fill your shopping cart and get pricing. That will give you a barometer, if you decide to buy your parts elsewhere.

If I were goint to tackle the t-belt and water pump, I'd go ahead and replace cam and crank seals as well.

Actually I think you have them sorted in a pretty good order already.

Basically fix what needs to be done first in order to prevent spending a lot more money later.

Make the car run (difficult), then make it look good (easy).
