Exterior Colors
 

On one of these threads we were talking about proper names for the exterior colors on our SVX's. Does anyone have a master list of the colors with names and paint codes? What is the proper name for my red 94 LSi? Was it called Barcelona Red in 94? The Legacy had a Rio Red, but it was much brighter. Also what was that teal/blue color called? Or was there a blue, AND a teal?

I believe (someone will correct me, if I'm wrong), the 94's were "Brilliant Red." The true blue SVX was Laguna Blue, while the Teal (available only in '92 and the only one in '92 without a black top) was called Teal.

You could do a search on "paint codes" in the Yahoo archives (it may be here also). Never2phat had posted a paint code list some time ago. Also, if you do a google search on "Joe Spitz" you'll find your way to his website which lists all options and colors for each model year.

Randy, the 95's were "Brilliant Red." I have a Barcelona Red. I have a mirror of Joe's site on my (with permission).

So, if you have a 94, you have a barcelona red. Also, you can check your colour code. Just open the hood and it will tell you as well

Laguna Blue Pearl : 389

Polo Green Pearl : 517

Yellow : 518 Touch-Up Stick : J3617PA013 (I saved the best color for last ;) )
