So now they are wanting to write off the car (pending another inspection). They don't know that the cost of the parts from 1stsubaruparts.com is far cheaper than from wherever they are getting their prices from.

Obviously we don't want to give up this car and we're not going to let them take it. It would be nice to find a parts car with rear damage to salvage all the front end parts. Again, this is only in preparation as we may convince them to change their minds yet again.

What do you think the book value that the insurance co is going by? Did I mention that I am thinking of selling my 92 (thinking). Windsheild is practically new! (salespitch). I still haven't had a chance to drive my 96 since picking it up. Just dropped it at trans shop for rebuild with level 10 stage 2 kit and reworked valve body.

I think they're limiting it to $10000.

At $9000 they were going to fix it.

They now say there's an additional $4000 in repairs.

The flip has become another flop...now they are going to fix it.

They aren't going to fix it for $13000 but they will pay $10000 to fix it so that's what we're doing.

Unfortunately they want the airbag system to be new, it can't be used. That's all going to come from 1stsubaruparts.com.

We need a windshield and the only one found so far is $2400 in Vancouver, BC. I've looked on car-part.com but the descriptions are vague and I'm sure much of the listings are for other glass besides the windshield.

I guess I'll have to split the list into 2 sections, one for new and one for used parts.

Ok, yesterday was a big day where I took care of most of the less expensive parts. Of a total of 40 different items I now have 17 I'm still looking for. I mentioned before in this thread that running the wires for the sensors to the front of the car for the airbags is a B*^$$*

I'm still waiting for Mike (Green95SVX - the previous owner) to tell me which parts he has for us and how much he wants for them. I'll see what's left over after that. I may be interested in what you have to offer.

So I've got all the new parts we need aside from the airbag stuff (getting that used now).
