Question about Glove Box Door
So yesterday the passenger in my car noticed my glove box door seems to be out of wack. Looks like it doesn't close all the way.
Is this normal, or is my glove box door broken? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4016/...24532c36_b.jpg If this is broken, what do I need to replace, the whole box? Or are the hinges part of the door or the box itself? |

My glovebox on my 96 polo fits perfectly flush with the dash on both sides. It was also the same on my 92 pearlie. No sagging or gaps at all. ......http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1276635966 Looks like someone tried to pry into a locked glove box. Definitely not correct. . |
Re: Question about Glove Box Door
^^^ Ditto what John says, mine closes perfectly.

Re: Question about Glove Box Door
So is the door & hinges separate pieces, or do I need a whole new box?

Take it off and you should be able to see what is going on with it and straighten it up...

New glove box doors are $320.00  Definitely get a used one from someone parting out. Over time, the gray should have faded as much as yours, so the match should be perfect. You may be able to bend it back into position. Have no idea what color a new gray door is. . |
