OT: Shelby Cobra meet
I was wandering around downtown LaConner Sunday and came upon a group of vintage Shelby 427 Cobras. Or as I've been told, most on the road are kits (but still worth a minimum of $60,000). They were all parked on the waterfront there, despite the dark clouds threatening rain, in all their topless glory. I counted 12 of these unique and powerful beasts, with plates ranging from Oregon to B.C. Wish I had my camera. :)
I left the SVX parked on the street in front of their parking lot, and as I walked around town I noticed almost as many people stopping to look at the SVX as stopped to glance at the opposite parking lot! :D Of course as we pulled out of town and the downpour began, it was obvious who had the smarter choice with AWD and a roof! :D :D :D Just a little shameless NW meet inspiration. :D |
Troy - LaConner - you are in my stomping grounds. You should have called, and I could have driven the new car over there. A mini meet again. LOL
It sounds like it was a fun day. We need to get a meet going don't we. :) |
