Do the rear seats fold down? and seat questions

I found a button on top of the passenger rear seat under the head rest

what is it?? also theres a black handle under the drivers side rear seat bottom

and a handle on the right side of the drivers seat whats that for??

Do the rear seats fold down? If so how do I do it or do I have to remove them for moving stuff?

If you push button down and pull the head rest. If it wont come down there is a lock on the back of the seat .Open trunk and you will see it.

I have a Lsi model, I think some of the other trim levels were different. It has a button on the top of each rear seat, to release them. There is also a lever in the boot/trunk on the back of each half, that locks the seats, so they can't be opened from inside the car. Have a look in the boot to see if they are in the lock position.

Harvey. ;)

The black handle is used to pull the entire rear seat bottom out of the car. If you look on both sides, where the bottom of the seat meets the carpet, you will see how the seat bottom clips on. Release the seat from the clips and pull it out.

The lever in the driver's seat back, halfway up on the inside, is the lumbar support. Move it forward or backward (three different positions, I believe) to adjust the firmness in the seat back.

Some models only have a single rear seat back, that would explain only one button and one lock lever.

Mine has two locks the passenger side one was on so thats why it didnt fold down ... now it does ;)

I.m confused here. I assume that you have a 1992 SVX, which would have a single fold down rear seat. The only release button (from inside the car) is located under the right head restraint.

Inside the trunk, you will see a panel attached to the back of the seat. On the left is the lock switch that slides from unlock to lock. To the right of this is the actual release lever, to fold the seat down from inside the trunk.

I have never seen a 1992 rear seat with two locks. The split fold down seats didn't show up until 1993 or 1994.

It wasn't 93, it was in 94 that the LSi had the split back seat. :)

Never mind its one lock .. it was dark and I inhaled too many fumes from the leather cleaner and conditioner
