still have the coolest car in the company, but ...

... my lead has eroded slightly.

Someone just bought a '92 NSX.

But here's why I laugh: this person told me they'd give me a ride in it "as soon things dry up a little." (It rained today.) Their very words.

;)

I better don the flame suit, but the NSX is even cooler than an SVX:cool:

Well I'm sure the TRANNY runs cooler in the NSX :p

I've never been in an NSX yet but would jump at the opportunity.

i'd have to agree - you can't buy a used NSX for $1500 ;)
the SVX is much cooler in single-digit weather and 3 inches of snow, however ;)

subafan 01-21-2003 05:49 PM

i dont even think you can buy a used, running nsx for under 10k.... but svx is probably the coolest car, attainable under 10k

LarryIII 01-21-2003 06:04 PM

I don't know how "cool" is defined, but I htink that my '92 pearly is the coolest every day car in the company. That includes thePorsches, Vettes, and various Bimmers.
Of course my boss has the Coolest Non-Everyday Car. It is a fully restored Jag XKE coupe. In concours points, it is number 3 or 4 in this country. I think he will be invited to Pebble Beach next year.

One of our members here (calmone) has an SVX AND an NSX AND...a Lagonda, AND other vehicles that I'll let him explain should he be visiting this post.

Ron.

yeah i think the NSX beats out the SVX for coolness.... but I would also raise that $ value up to 20k... i think the SVX is cooler than any car you can get for under 20K

Would you believe the early NSX's had transmission problems!!! Its a lock-pin thingamajig that breaks!

No, I'm not kidding!!

Brilliant cars though and one that I would like to get my hands on in a few years

NSX

I also love that car.

A friend of mine bought a damaged one 1 year ago.
He restored it and now it's in pretty good condition.
He stored it during the winter time and maybe he is going to sell it next year, because he can make nice profit of it :)
I wouldn't sell.
Maybe we are going on a ride this spring.
SVX + NSX

You don't get a good one under $25k over here!

re: well i've been in a nsx

i've been in a nsx. i'd rather buy a brand new svx with a stick vs a nsx.

calmone 01-22-2003 08:51 AM

there's nothing to explainn ron, other than that i think i was dropped on my head as a child. (well at least i don't want my first car back, a 1961 ramber american. replaced the head gasket twice before i finally got out of it, and i thought at the time it was due for a third replacement).
