Need help with speakers...
I am finally getting around to working on my audio system and was online with Crutchfield, and their fit guide says 6x9's will not fit the rear decklid. And I know I have read threads in here about people using them.My question is,if I do install 6x9's,is there any modifications that are to be expected.Such as the factory grill not fitting,or working with the hole the speaker sit's in.
I am also considering using 6 1/2's with adapter plates, which I hope will not give me any vibration's.I'd hate to spend what time I put into it to have it not sound good. |
I use 6x9's ... no problems at all
I am using the Pioneer Premier AST931 i believe... 300W. Had no issues at all installing them. Hope this helps, -Sov. |
6x9'S work fine...just use the grill cover from the SVX, not from your speaker you just bought.

Thanks for the info.....
I was planning on using the factory grill's,mainly to keep a clean look and to also keep it all stealthy.I just hope that the tweeters in the speakers I am ordering arent to high.

I thought the rears were 6x9s

They are...I think he's saying he's got a three or four way 6x9 with tweeters on them. I have a tweeter on my rears and I still have plenty of room.
You should have no probs using the factory speaker cover. |
