CE lights and problems on cold start

I have a CEL 21, 37, and 56 (coolant sensor, o2 sensor and EGR system) also on cold starts the engine will turn over but die (it cant idle or something) and after about 5 minutes of trying it and letting it sit it finally starts but then I have to wait acouple more minutes before I can put the engine under a load. Any help is appreciated, sorri about the fast post but im kinda busy right now, I'll post more info later.

thanks,
dustin

Have you ever changed the engine temperature sensor? If not then that's your best bet. It matches all your symptoms.

No I havent changed it yet. Now that I think about it that does make sence, I dont see how it would effect the 02 sensor though? But the EGR system and the problems on cold start seem logical. Thanks

I don't think it will solve all the issues but it's the best place to start.

A hard cold start is not uncommon for Subaru's. Your coolant temp sensor is bad (code 21). It's part # 2630AA041. Cheap money and easy install.
