SVX Front Cut Parts for sale

Hi Guys,

I just picked up an SVX front cut. I am told it is a 92 model and according to the clock it has 37 000 km on it. I am using it to do a conversion into my kombi so have no use for a lot of the SVX stuff as such.

It is an auto and still has it's panels although most have dints from transport of them.

Anyway if anyone is after anything let me know.

Cheers,

Brad

Hi Guys,

Got quite a few PM's so thought I would post some more info .

I have a half cut so it has no rear end or front interior. They cut is in front of the pillars and just above the dash.

I am keeping the engine and all its parts which make it work such as ECU, A/C etc.

At this stage I am also keeping the climate control, steering column complete, cruise control and dash cluster. This may change once I have measured up the dash in my Kombi and make the call as to put it in or not.

I am not using the AUto or any drive line parts such as front suspension, ABS, Steering, etc.

Although it is dressed the front guards are stuffed and the bonnet has a ding in it. The front bumper seems fine, front lights are glass and seem fine, side markers have small cracks.

I will take a heap more pics and post them for you to get an idea of what I have.

As I said in my original post a lot of it is of little if any value to me so feel free to ask away, if I am not using it I sure ain't gunna pull it off and put it on the shelf for a rainy day.

Cheers,

Brad

I'm interested in the power steer head if possible?
Interesting to look at the speedo only going to 180kph?
Mine goes to 260kph, but I haven't had the needle all the way there, YET!

How sure are you the headlights are glass?

Reason I mention this, the car looks to have been originally JDM, and they did not come with glass lights.

You have a JDM steering wheel, there is no height adjuster on the console beside the gear shift, you have a 180kph speedo, and these things would imply the front headlights are of the Japanese market perspex type.

You could do a pic to confirm. A quick way to know would be to see if the lamps have the fog light bulbs on the inside next the grill. If they do, they should be perspex. The glass Euro headlights have a blank silvered plate in that position, no bulbs.

I was under the impression that the JDM onces were galss:confused:

No. The JDM ones are perspex, quite similar to the American ones, only the parking light is different.

In their favour, the perspex lamps are way lighter than the glass ones. There is a lot of weight in the motor for tilting the dipped beam.

well there ya go, umm what motor to tilt the beam?

So far as I know, only Europe got tilting beams.

This photo from my locker shows the motor:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil...list/39849.JPG

A square thing on the right, with four wires visible, green, red , yellow and white.
The gray bit with the bolt facing up is the beam set adjuster screw. The adjuster switch on the console can then drop the beam down from this level if the car is loaded heavily at the back.

Between the weight of the stepper motor, and the weight of the glass lens, these are a lot heavier than the perspex ones. Each weighs about 3.5 kgs.

Hi Guys,

I have answered all the PM's

I will take and post a heap more pics tommorrow into the manxclub gallery.

http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/album348

As I said before I know nothing about the SVX at all. Happy to take pics of whatever you need to see but I will apologise in advance if I post any incorrect info.

As for prices of parts... once again I am not an SVX guy so feel free to make an offer.

Plan at this stage is to strip over the Xmas period. I am going to leave it running till then as I have to back trace the loom and isolate everything I don't need. Once I have stripped the loom out I will remove all the crap, fire it up to test it and then do the same with the climate and cruise control looms.

Once I have removed that stuff I will happily remove all and everything from the cut and ship to wherever the new owner resides.

As for stuff which has nothing to do with what I want such as steering, ABS, brakes, etc etc I am happy to pull it off now if people are interested.

Cheers,

Brad
