Odometer not working

I have a problem with my '92.
The odometer just stopped working at 78,999
Everything else works fine (Speedometer,Tach)

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Does the trip odometer still work (the one you can reset)

Really good luck, to go along with my howling rear wheel bearings and A/C condenser that leaks like a strainer.
Oh well, I got the car cheap and I was expecting the usual SVX problems. :D

Trip does not work either. It did reset ok but it does not move.
