The rooms contract for Reading XII is now in the HI reservation system.

Here is the pertinent information:

Reading XII will be held Friday, May 20 to Sunday, May 22, 2011

6170 MORGANTOWN ROAD...MORGANTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA 19543

Here is the actual breakdown of rooms:

Friday night/ May 20... 18 rooms
....10 rooms with two queen beds (non-smoking)
....03 rooms with two queen beds (smoking)
....05 rooms with one king bed

Saturday night/ May 21... 18 rooms
....10 rooms with two queen beds (non-smoking)
....03 rooms with two queen beds (smoking)
....05 rooms with one king bed

Room Rate: $80.00/night plus tax, or $88.80/night total. This is the same as last year's rate.

Reservation cutoff date for block rate: Monday, September 20, 2010

Cancellation:
Before 6:00pm on scheduled date of arrival to avoid penalty. Is a no-show occurs on the scheduled arrival date, the first night will be charged to the credit card and all consecutive nights reserved will be canceled.

Call the hotel and mention that you are reserving rooms under the SVX World Network that has already been set up. Tell them the room type you want and the dates you will need it. The number is 610-286-3000

You do not have to book both nights. Make sure that you specify the number of days and/or dates you will be reserving. Remember the confirmation number you are given and post it in this thread.

You have two options:

Option 1: TELEPHONE RESERVATION. EASIEST METHOD!

Call the hotel and mention that you are reserving rooms under the SVX World Network or the SVX Club that has already been set up. Tell them the room type you want and the dates you will need it. Get your confirmation number and enter it on this list.

The number for the hotel is 610-286-3000

You do not have to book both nights. Make sure that you specify the number of days and/or dates you will be reserving.

Option 2: RESERVE ONLINE

You can register online HERE

Once on their homepage, select your check-in and check-out dates on the right side of the screen.
Enter SVX in the "Group Code" box.
Leave "Best Available". as the Rate Preference. Then click the green "VIEW RATES" button.

Your next screen should show you the room choices at the $80.00/night rate for either the king bed or two queen beds (smoking or non-smoking).
Click the green "BOOK THIS ROOM" button next to your choice.

ON the next page, enter your personal information Click the green "NEXT" button.

On this page is a recap of your Personal information. Enter your "Guarantee Information:" (CC number information). Be sure to check the 2 boxes at the bottom of the screen and click the green "CONFIRM" button. Be cure to record your confirmation number,

Remember, your credit card WILL NOT be charged until after you check out, so register early. There are no holds or advance deposits held against your card.

Cancellation Policy:

Canceling your reservation before 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on your date of arrival will result in no charge.

Canceling your reservation after 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on the date of your arrival, or failing to show, will result in a charge of 1 night per room to your credit card. Taxes may apply.

Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.

As usual, if you register early enough, we can always add to the block if we fill it up.

The block is significantly smaller than in previous years (18 rooms per night as opposed to 50 rooms per night.) By registering early and filling up the block, we can always add rooms to it, in groups of 5 for each night. This way no one will be left without a room. Any rooms subsequently added to the block will get the same group rate.

Even if you think you might possibly go, commit and book your rooms. You CC is NEVER charged until you check out so there is no worries there. Don't hold back and wait.

You can also register early to hold the room in the block. If at the last minute you can't attend, Don't cancel! Instead, you could offer it to other members in the event all rooms have been filled. It is not a cancellation, but a transfer of rooms within the block from one individual to another.

Just like last year, this is a Reading TWELVE "Rooms Booked" thread. I want everyone who actually books a room at the hotel to add their name, screen name, number of nights reserved, confirmation number and type of room.
