Tranny slips and car stalls!!!

Last week my tranny was slipping a lot and leaking ATF. I had it taken to a subaru shop and they replaced the rear seal but I just got it back and its randomly slipping out of gear on accelleration and when I come to a stop it either stalls or gets really close to it. Im scared, this sounds and feels like a lot more money down the drain. Can anyone help, I would really, REALLY appreciate any input.

proud svx owner,

Jason

Jason, it sounds like the tranny is going out or is already. It sounds like more than a rear seal. Lets see what some other members say as well. Good luck on your repair. :)

Like I said in the other thread, did they change more than the seal?

What gear does it slip in, when changing into 2nd?, or in 3/4th? The stalling could be caused by the lock-up clutch not releasing. It could be that the pick-up screen in the pan that is blocked, but tell us more about the slipping.

Harvey. ;)

Is there a cheaper way to fix this than buying a new tranny
