95 obd 1 or 2?
 
Is the 95 odb 1 or 2? I went to purchace a scanner but relized i have know idea what to buy. wich scanner is best suited for 95 svx

1995 SVX's have OBD I.

The 1996s and after are the II. :)

And for what you'd pay for an aftermarket OBDI scan tool, that will just read codes, you can find a Select Monitor I or II on ebay and have full functionality (with the proper cartridge)

I got one:D. (Don't know how to use it though)And if you have the coin holder you have an OBD1 car.

What's the select monitor? Guess I've never heard of it before. I was looking into an OBD1 scanner for Japanese as well for both of my cars. Is select monitor a subaru-only thing?

Ahhh, thanks Paul. I'm gonna keep looking for a universal OBD1 scanner. The Snap-On guy owes me like $300 anyways, so I may just go to him and see what he has.
