yeah, stay out there - i don't want you stinking up the neighborhood here with a salvage yard and barrels of cooking oil in your front yard. :D

NapaBavarian 01-24-2006 12:18 PM

What do you have against cooking oil in my front yard? Next thing I know you're gonna be calling code enforcement because I mow my lawn once a month no matter if it needs it or not!

Damn and I thought real estate was out of sight over in Oxford, MS. Yeah, they actually pay close to that price for land in Ms by the University of Ms - "Go Rebels".

THere's a 1.2 acre lot on the back side of the university going for 1.75 million. They'll get that eventually, there isn't much dirt left there.

Some people are buying little "war" homes on 1/4 acre lots for 175k-250k, tearing the house down and throwing up 300-400k homes.

Who said MS was poor?

NapaBavarian 01-29-2006 10:48 AM

Hmmmmmmm, the cheapest houst in Napa is typicallty $450k, it looks a little off because houses up to 40 minutes out of tow are shown if you search realtor, but in Napa, bend over!

In a home buying magazine some time ago I saw someone selling one acre of land. the cost? Practically a steal at four million dollars. Yes...four million dollars for one acre of land. Granted, it was beachfront property..but for FOUR MILLION DOLLARS it better have a dimond mine of some crude oil under it.
My town isnt much better...Imagine the ****tiest house you could. One bedroom, one bathroom, your lucky to get a kitchen out of it. the yard? Well, the house takes up the whole yard. BUT, you have a nice, smelly lagoon in the back yard (not to mention your safely below sea level)to top it off, it is in a drug infested , sleezey neiborhood. Now picture buying the house....for two hundred fifty thousand dollars. Yeah, South Jersey sucks

NapaBavarian 02-02-2006 10:52 AM

Um...er...250k? Cheapest house in Napa is 450K  unless you buy a house 30 minutes out of town, then possibly $400k
