Rock Auto maintenance part closeout deals

I'm sure many of you already get these emails, but this one seems better stocked than past ones.

Rock Auto, sends out occasional emails announcing closeout specials on parts grouped by application. Some are good deals on known names, some are so-so deals on names you've never heard of. I often stock up on things like wipers and headlight bulbs (less than $2 ea). If your careful with your order, even after shipping, the prices are much lower than anywhere else. As you put your order together, it will let you know if items are shipping from the same.

Is there a way to navigate to the closeout deals or do you have to be provided a link from RockAuto?

Not that much would change but I wanted to pull up a specific model year.

Great prices indeed!

Re: Rock Auto maintenance part closeout deals

A few years ago I purchased a Rock Auto "closeout" Gates timing belt for my Honda CRX. They sent me a Continental (made by Gates) belt that was in a Yellowed box, something that was made back in about 1993 or so. That belt, would have self-destructed my engine, it was older than the one it would have to replace. Timing belts are like rubberbands, once on a shelf for long time, they are JUNK.

Be careful what types of parts you buy from them, yes good deals, but stay away from belts and hoses cause they may be YEARS old made back in 92-97 for our SVX's

Not that I have ever found. It seems to base it on cars that you lookup and buy parts for.
