Window Cable

Ok, so after finally getting my car back with the tranny fixed I went to put the drivers side window down and heard a noise that sounded like sand or grit was trapped between the glass and some where else. Then after trying to put the window back up it got stuck half way with the motor still working. I pulled into a gas staiton and took off the door panel to discover that the cable was rusted and frayed, the noise had been coming from the frayed cable binding. I lightly pulled on the cable towards the bottom of the door and it just kept pulling. The cable broke and there is still some tangled around the pulley at the motor.

So what parts will I need to fix this? I know that I know I will need a new cable, but can I get this without the motor? It seems like this will be a little tricky to fix because of the cramped space down by the motor.

Thanks,
Caleb

BUMP

I need some help soon so that I can get this fixed as the car is not too secure now.

I've never done this, but can point you in a general direction.

Look here (for either #10 or 11, I already forgot which number is the driver's side):

It is the regulator, which includes the replacement cable - as the cable is not available by itself.

I have a drivers side regulator with a bad motor but a good cable...

Wanna buy it?

Is there any way you can snap a few pictures for me. email me at buzpuck11@aol.com with a price...I am interested as long as it's in good condition with a strong cable.

I'm on my way out the door now...

I'll work on it later :)
