Something Really Weird to me

I had a problem that started to be a big problem today that i had only seen once a few weeks ago. The problem started when my alternater died and while i was driving the ac shut off like not blowing air and the abs light came on. I thought nothing of this at first. Everything was normal after a restart. So i got the alternater replaced and upgraded charge wire and ground wire and optima batterie. Well today while pulling into the colledge the ac shuts off and abs light comes on and then a few seconds later the ac comes back on and the abs light shuts off. Well now the problem is constantly happening and while the abs light is on and ac is not working i cannot take the car out of park without using the lockout release by the shifter. I have a feeling this could be a power issue to somthing but would like anyone who has any ideas to please let me know..thanks

I have no idea. How about checking the computer codes? A problem with the shft lock switch? The visor wire problem? A short in the system somewhere.

Do you have an after market remote starter or alarm system?

Do you have a turbo? Installed?

Could be your "new" alternator is failing again?

Hmmmmmn

I have no idea either, but a couple of thoughts occur. Can you run the diagnostic for the A/C?

The original once-only problem may have indicated future trouble with your A/C. I am thinking maybe the pump has a seizing bearing, maybe the magnetic clutch is causing problems?

If the alternator fix put back on the drive belt too tight, this might accelerate the demise of A/C pump.

If this pump is seizing, even intermittently, it will hold up drive to the alternator and turn on all sorts of warning lights. Now that I think of it, if the alternator bearings are seizing, same thing would happen, just caused by a different source.

Look for signs of duress on the alternator drive belt.

Okay i know its not the ac compressor because it kicks on fine and runs perfect its just that there is no air blowing from the vents...even on heat! and the alternator is good because everyhting else has perfect power becuase i can check voltage in the trunk at my capacitor for the stereo and it never gets below 13.8. I was thinking if there is one power circut that the ac/heater blower and abs are on?? Maybe a bad ground? i dont know ...the only thing i know is i hate new electronics on cars when they dont work but love them when they do work.....

Fusion

Must be fuses or a circuit all right. Likely the solenoid for your shifter is in the same circuit. Could be a relay either, but I'd check fuses first, because they are cheaper.

BTW, don't trust the look of them. It is not unknown for a fuse to be faulty and look OK. Check they are passing current with a meter.

Ill check them and let you know with what i come up with..thanks
