Did a little sound test.
I took my new camera, and set it to mic mode, and held it near an exhaust outlet.
I took my old camera, with it's nonfunctioning video and did the same. I set them recording and had the vehicle start up and idle for a few seconds. I moved them both closer to the tip after a couple seconds. I then cropped them and removed the "video" (yay VirtualDub), or lack thereof from my Canon. Here is the results. canon 256k svp 128k Even if you don't care about my cameras, this is a pretty sweet exhaust note, if ou ignore the other fidgety camera sounds. It's much sweeter in real life, but hey, I can't have my sound quality and eat it too. -- +100 Igg points if you can guess the vehicle. *shrug* -- Um, I listened to them on both my laptop and my 4.1 on my desktop, and it really sounds like crap on my tiny laptop speakers. Oh well. |
Would this thread be more interesting if I said the exhaust cilps were from my car?
These clips do not even do the sound one iota of justice. There is no justice here. http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil...u_S./40077.JPG |
