Oh, no! The dreaded 105K check-up!
A couple weeks ago I received one of those nice multi-colored form letters from the Suby dealership that last worked on the car that began - "Dear Mr. M: "To protect the value of your Subaru & keep it at top performance, yada-yada - our records show that your mileage should be approx. 104,583 & may now require the following factory maintenance": 105,000 Mile Maintenance. Call us for app't. etc, etc.
Now this is the dealer that I bestowed about $1,800 upon in June to perform essentially a pre-mature 120K check up (timing & A/C belts, plugs, fluids, water pump, cam seals, wheel bearing etc. & all has been fine since. But I'm sure the computer is programmed to let me know that I missed something & please come back so we can collect some more sheckels. So, I just wondered if anyone else has this 105K "milestone" service check up & just what is it they'd like to sniff out? Thanks, Ron. |

Ah-ha! One of those Sherlock Holmes inspection tours. Thanks Mike, I shall go inspect all of those suspicious items myself & if any metal parts have separated themselves from the car, I'll be sure to tow it in on Monday. Ron. |
