CHECK ENGINE, 3 codes at once?

I had the CHECK ENGINE light come on yesterday & I am seeing 3 codes

15 - Injector #2
24 - by pass air control solenoid
35 - purge control solenoid

I am baffled by 3 codes at once... we've visually checked, what we can see, and there is no obvious damage to wiring or components. Next step is with a DVM, but I'm ~350 miles away. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: CHECK ENGINE, 3 codes at once?

Three unrelated codes suggest to me, that there is a grounding problem with the engine to then ECU.
Check the grounding point on the passengers side of the inlet manifold, you see a lot of wires bolted there, and the grounding wire at the rear of the engine back to the bulkhead.:)

5 underhood ground locations.

We cleared the codes Sunday & the car was fine until last night. I found some cryptic drawings in the FSM of where the 5 underhood ground points are. Will try to match drawing under the hood...

Thought I'd share the drawings here.

Did the same codes come back?
All those units ground through the same point GE in the last diagram, so that would be the most likely one to look at, remove it give it good clean and bolt it back.
The signals for all those units come through engine plug E1, its the square one of the two back there, on the RHS of the engine, might be worth seeing if that plug is plugged together firmly and clean. :)

light went off by itself... ground point looks like it's never been disturbed since '92.

update...

Update in case anyone is following... ;)

Check engine came on again, along with rough idle. Drove couple miles home. Went out to read it, light off.

I flew down ~ a week ago to drive 350 miles home with my daughter. No problems, car was happy to cruise @ 75-80 MPH. Got 25 mpg.

I checked grounds, inspected connectors, replaced a leaky vacuum line on fuel regulator & cruise control. Couldn't budge the PCV, probably installed in 1992 in Japan. I managed to run some throttle cleaner through it. It behaved fine all week, until Friday (the rain returned). Check engine light came on after start, same 3 codes. Restart, light off . Went to lunch, then home.

Checked everything again... Just because: I removed & cleaned body ground by battery tray. Disconnected & cleaned: E1, E2 & single connector ground from harness to firewall. Except for the firewall ground, which looked like it had some yellow/brown goop, probably some type of dielectric grease (also all over FWD fuse socket), the pins looked clean & shiny. All connectors gave a satisfying snap when plugging back in... Also fixed broken mount on main fuse relay box.

No problem so far, but it's really intermittent... just keeping my fingers crossed. The car goes back to college in a couple of days.

Hi Change the main relay very common failure in svx and legacy of the early 90's the double pole relay will half close mostly throwing code 35 but have seen it do many things

Thanks... I'll take a look in the morning & see if I can match the sketch to the real thing ;)

what's, what?

Studied under the dash & couldn't match to the sketch... I thought the sketch is looking up from the open door, maybe not. Or maybe it doesn't match production cars?

The only thing I see that might be 2 relays together is above the fuse box.

Been a while... in case anybody was curious about updates.

My local dealer didn't stock the part & wanted way over list to order it, $67. I ordered online from dealer in Washington, ~$38 including $9 shipping. Swapped the relay just over a month ago. No erratic electrical behavior since then, "knock on wood". ;)
