Special thanks for svxfiles, pavanbabut and yellowbird

I wanted to take that opportunity to thank you guys for all the trouble you went through or still going through to help me out in getting the parts I want from the States and especially after my accident. The forum needs to know in public about those guys, cited in random (no preference of one over the other):

Pavanbabut: Pavan, you are my constant help in all purchases I do from over there. I kinda tease this guy round the clock for things I want, Pavan I need this, Pavan I need that... and when I tell him Thank you, we get into an online fight because of it... because he believes there is no "thank you" between friends...This guy is one of a kind concerning trust, reliability and true friendship. THANKS PAVAN :p

YellowBird: When I was asking for someone in the vicinity of MD, birdy was the first to help me out concerning contacting the people there, shipping issues, etc... She kept me updated with anything I was asking for... Just THANK YOU, you are great.

svxfiles: today Tom cause my JAW to fall off the floor  I am  and still  to this moment. He PM'ed me earlier telling me about a certain guy in his neighborhood who he might think is Lebanese and coming to my country in the near future... So I asked him if he (Tom) can get me his phone number or email address... Well he just gave this guy my phone number and I just hanged up with him after 15 mins of international phone call !!!!!!! You are both just great guys... it seems I will be getting my parts sooner than I expected, and my SVX will be on the road soon also. I need to mention also that I asked Tom for a certain part if he had it and I really need, he asked for my address, I thought he is just giving me a quote for shipping... the next PM I got was that Tom shipped that item to me !!! without me even paying him!!! he told me that shipping costed XX$, pay whatever you want for the item if you want to!! Well you tricked me MAN !!! :p in a good way of course :D I thought you were just giving me a quote... now I will not pay you anything :p -------------> J/K . Tom you just began amazing me in your caracter the first time you PM'ed me about those headers of yours... remember?

This really shows the true essence of those guys (and girl) which is usually rare especially nowadays. I OWE you all for everything...

I also want to thank Earl, northernkanuck, earthworm, electrophil, black beast, deruvian, VTsuby, oab_au, TE1221.... and all the others for bearing my constant questions and comments... if you ever need anything from me I am at your disposal... :)

P.S: have I forgotten anyone?

Come on Danny, dont be sooo professional (I dont know the exact word to use here :p ). We are here to help ourselves and thts the most interesting part on our n/w compared to others. Most people on our n/w are very kind and helpful. Especially Tom [svxfiles] and Mark are very nice. I call to them every weekend and talk to them something or the other (Hope I am not bothering them with my english :p ). I always talk to them about every work or mod/upgrade I want to do on my car. Among others are Electrophil, budfreak1, Adam [LICMotorsports], Earl and others tooo :). Forgot to mention the other one is from ohiosubaru forum administrator Mel, very nice guy.

-Pavan.

Danny - you are starting to find out how great this site really is. I make new friends almost every day, or at least once a week. :D Members who have been here for some time will give the shirt off of their back if needed. This is a community of members who are as close as family. I am glad you are seeing this site as I have for some time. Good luck. :)

Well she did pay for my SVX... Can't complain about that. Esp. considering I'm 23 and an E4 in the Navy, lol.:D

Thanks so much Danny, I really appreciate it. But again, it was no bother. I was just happy to help a fellow SVXer.

And Kerry...stop you're making me blush. :o

(and you're still NOT driving Yellow Bird when you visit  )

Agreed. The absolute best! :)

Electrophil 01-08-2006 10:28 PM

Thanks for the kind words Dan, and I agree. There are a LOT of really outstanding members on this board. So many here have helped me with advice, I'm scared to start listing them, for I'll leave out half. There have just been so many! I've never seen such a group of helpful and courteous people anywhere. WE have guys here that are literally in their teens that I would hand my car over to for work without a second thought. I've said it once, twice, and a thousand times. I love this group!!

How I survived in the years prior to knowing this group was here is incredible. My car has only been to subaru once since joining. (But only because I was too lazy and intimidated to pull the transmission for that speedo gear.:D ) I've been able to do searches and find most everything already written, revised, amd documented step by step, with pictures usually attached. It's amazing.

As my father used to say.... "I jesh wuv youse guys.. hick!!":D

It's more like one week, next monday to be exact. Tom I emailed him asking him for his exact address, he still didn't reply me, do you know it by any chance?

BTW Tom, Lebanon is very small, a trip from The extreme point north to the extreme point south will take 1.5 hours if I am driving (hmmm) or 2.75 hours if you abide strictly by the road speed limits (:))

svxfiles 01-09-2006 10:29 AM

It takes me that longto drive through Baltimore, concidering the traffic.

Earthworm 01-10-2006 03:38 PM

Wow, a lot of love in this thread. Time for a group hug? :D

northernkanuck 01-11-2006 04:14 PM

thanks for the kind words Danny, glad I could be of help and would do it again.

Keith
