Ssssssnake Bitten!

Well, the car lover in my mother-in-law's neighborhood added the latest toy to his collection - an '05 Viper SRT-10! He already has an electron blue '03 Z06 and a Shelby Cobra replicar with a 427!

My neighborhood's resident Corvette collector put his deposit down on a 2006 ZO6 two weeks ago. Black with chrome wheels. I would have taken black with silver wheels myself. He's a nice guy so i'm going to ask him if he'll let me drive it after he has it for awhile. At the very least I know he'll give me a ride.

BTW...this is his 11th Vette. He has...

1959 Convertible (DUH...red and white)
1966 Stingray L88 Convertible (white/blue stripes)
1974 Stingray L84 Coupe (bright green)
1978 Stingray II Coupe (Silver over black)
1988 L98 Coupe (Red)
1991 ZR1 Convertible (white)
1996 Grand Sport Convertible (Blue w/ white stripes)
1997 C5 Targa (Red)
2002 C5 ZO6 (Yellow)
2003 C5 Convertible Anniversary Edition (Cherry Maple)

I told him i'm buying the Grand Sport from him. I don't think he believes it yet.

Yeah I was running next to a viper a few days ago needless to say he just walked away from me without trying... Sliver and 04+ model

My cousin was going to get one of his Vipers upgraded with one of the Hennesay packages. Not sure if that ever went through.

As for that list of corvettes I wou trade the 74 for a 67-72 (with both chrome bumpers and pre fuel crisis).

Chike, thank you for staying safe when taking pictures and driving at the same time. Instead of completely turning around or hanging out the window, you used the rear-view mirror. Very smart. :)

I always have my camera at the ready for cars just like that! :D

It feels good seeing a Viper in the rear view.

Granted, it's only there as long as it wants to be, but still... :D

I, too, found it very entertaining that the car happened to be in the rear view mirror. My first thought was "now that's something you don't see...uh...ever".

One moment he wasn't there...the next he was! :D

Seriously, I was driving back from the grocery store after picking up a few things for my mother-in-law. I pulled out onto a road with a 35mph speed limit and was just happily cruising along in 3rd. The road behind me was completely empty.

Out of nowhere I heard a roar unlike the typical de-catted Firebirds/Camaros/Mustangs in my area. I looked in my rear view mirror and there sitting right on my tail was a convertible Viper SRT-10!!! I recognized my mother-in-law's neighbor in the driver's seat and smiled when I realized he added a new toy... ;)

He just dropped back and hung behind me for the short 2 mile ride back to my mother-in-law's community. That 500+hp V10 sounded a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!!
