engine oil cooler?

Hi everyone, I want to know if is no problem to run an oil cooler(sti s203) with my stock oil pump.
Not too much hose, using a *sandwhich with thermostat

thanks

Works absolutely fine. You only need a couple of tee pieces to make it work with the stock water line setup. You also need to replace the block bolt with a water one so the block can feed the oil cooler.

Is that the same bolt a block heater goes into?

water line? The sti oil cooler is not a water/oil cooler, its a air/oil so I just have to use the oil filter adapter and the oil cooler

Two concerns I would have with that system is that it increases flow resistance and that you don't get the benefit of faster water warming in the winter like you do with the water cooled sandwich.

I'm gonna use an adaptor with thermostat on it so it can help for the winter, I have a stock oil pump so im gonna have resistance on the flow?

can be a good cooler? or it can do pump cavitation at high rpm?
or it not gonna do a big change on the oil pressure

or the oem subaru water/oil would be better?

Just noticed you're runing an air / air unit. I personally wouldn't even with the turbo charged EG33. So many fail / leak and the stock water one keeps the oil temp inline via the water.

The water that feeds it comes out of the block and is post thermostat water - so it keeps the oil cool on hot days and warm on cold days.
