You should be glad that you're in an SVX. :) This is one of the worst SVXi accident pictures I have seen. Yours is probably the second most terrible. I have seen one before worse than yours. :D

From certain angle, you can't really tell it's an SVX anymore. Is the engine still in one piece? I can see your torque converter from the front-look...how amazing you were :rolleyes: :p

Are you planning to get another SVX? By the way, how long have you owned this 97 SVX? ( I think I saw your thread when you first came to say Hi ) What was the mileage?

Do you have any interior pictures? Again, it's glad you're okay and "you could have driven faster next time...:p"

Glad your OK, But didn't anyone teach you that a bike is going to stop way faster than a car and you shouldn't tailgate one?:rolleyes: Consider some driving lessons before getting another rare 97 SVX and totaling it.(And I say that because your profile said this wasn't the first time you've rolled which leads me to believe you definitely need to get some driving skills)

hey budfreak i mean douch bag easy. the bikes in front of me were friends and there was no tailgating. It was around a turn. I avoided hitting him at all costs and risked my own self. yes speed was some what of a issue but the 1 ft curb and my lowered all the way car didnt help any control. yes i did have full coverage. and i am fine. i got a fractured ankle and bruised up ribs and few cuts and scrapes. definataily the safist car out there. I owned it for over 2 yrs. and no i will not get another one. i want something lowkey and comfortable. It was a awsome car to part with. the engine flew out of the car like 50ft ish. everything u see up front is what they picked up and set back in. and as for rolling twice the first time a friend was driving not i. this is my first ever accident and i am 25 and had my license since i was 16. Not mainy people can say that. I bet even u BUD.

I wonder how many SVXs are left in the US. There seem to be quite a few in junkyards. :confused:

Glad to read you survived. Those pictures give me the chills. On the other hand, there have been what seems like a lot of wrecked SVX's lately and it's good to see how well, all things considered, the SVX was designed to protect the driver. The other recent accidents were the fault of others -- one person was rear-ended, etc.

At least you know you have the right instincts in terms of making a split-second decision to face possible death by avoiding hitting the motorcycle driver.

Obviously you were going way too fast. I know of another young SVX'er who was ticketed doing 120 on the NJ Tpk, and another person I spoke to got a ticket for going 140. The only place to try this is a closed race track.

On several occasions I've seen motorcycle riders pull wheelies on public roads in medium traffic at speeds over 50mph. That's where they got the expression, "Young, dumb, and full of cum."

Bud has a point in that you have to drive safely -- for yourself, family, and others on the road. Also, if you can't stop in time, no matter what the other driver is doing, then you are too close.

is it just me or does it look like the torque converter is just sitting there??? if so then holy isht and wow buddy you are damn lucky. :eek: Total bummer on the nice car too... and a 97 no less :(

Its good to see someone walk away from an accident of that caliber. Something tells me you wouldnt be able to tell the story if you were driving an escort

yeah i do feel blessed im mainy way through this. like i said this was my fault. speed was a factor but i do know what my car could handle. and having to adjust with slowing down and sliding lead to the final dip off decision. crappy but nessicary. i was really surprised the motor flew out of the car along with the whole front end. the interior was full of parts when i got to the junk yard. radiator intake and hoses galore. spolior in the back seat. my screen made it through with the ps2 but not the face plate. so it is point less. it must of poped off. and no i was not watching anything i believe i had a cd in. oh something funny in my myspace page in the pics. u click on the one of me by the car. read the top of the dump truck. this almost should go to maxim.

As a matter of fact, I've had 2 wrecks that were my fault(both in the same car)and neither one was due to speed. They were both due to blind spots and there wasn't much I could do in either situation. And no, Nobody got hurt. And I agree with Tomsvx, Thanks for not getting another one, We're starting to run low as it is.:rolleyes: BTW, You would have a nice 97 SVX right now and not had to risk yourself to save someone else if you weren't being completely stupid trying to impress some people on bikes that I'm sure can't be impressed by anything an SVX can do anyway. All for nothing if you ask me.
