So yesterday bought a reman front axle from napa 66$ core charge.............83$
:eek:w o w is this normal? Never had a core more than the part!...............G

Sometimes, when the cost of casting new materials exceeds the cost of just replacing the serviceable parts, like bearings or rubber boots.

We used to see it all the time when I worked at carquest, not really all that uncommon. I'd rather have the core charge than pay the price for new parts (or oem through the dealer) :rolleyes:

Or you could pay $70 for a new axle from autozone and have no core charge.
