I've not used this company, but they seem to have some:

I seem to remember their used to be rebuild kits for that them as well (if you're arm isn't bent).

I installed the BeckArnley tie rod ends a number of years back. Perfect fit. Have had no problems with them.

I did come across a full Rack and Pinion set for sale, seems to include the inner tie rods:

Seems kind of strange that there are no re-manufactured inner tie rods, but plenty of tie rod ends.

Do you know what is wrong with your inner tie rods?

Remanufactured Rack and Pinion is one of way. but too expensive.

As you say, they will need new rack ends (tie rods) to rebuilt steering rack.
Perhaps there are generic similar parts.

I found that Toyota Crown (210/214 type) tie rods are very similar.
Its screw diameter is 16mm and the pitch is 1.5mm

On the other hand, all of my other SUBARU's tie rod is 14mm x 1.5mm. It is not able to use for SVX.

https://www.monotaro.com/p/3029/3427/

Parts No is 45503-30150.

It's cheap at around $35, so I'll try it later. I'm currently overhauling the brakes on my other car, won't be able to use a lift for SVX until that's done. I'll tri it once my lift is free.

BTW, There is some play in the universal joint of my tie rod.

I came across this site which allows for searching for inner tie rods by thread size(s) and lengths:
https://size.name/en/catalog/rulevaya-tyaga

You would also need to know the thread size of the steering rack size as well (not always the same as the tie-rod-end side).

I agree. Looks like I'll have to remove it and measure both size of screw type and length before ordering. Also, total length of both of tie rod and tie rod end will be important because there are adjustable part.

SVX will occupying my lift for a while at that time. I need to finish overhaul the brakes for the car that is currently being lifted and the spare calipers for the other two cars first.

Once, I remove tie rod of SVX. I will let you know the measurement result for your information.

LYNXauto seems Japanese company in Osaka.

I may able to contact in Japanese them.

Hi,

I temporarily removed the inner tie rod and measured its dimensions.

TH1 M14x1.5
TH2 M16x1.5
Length 295mm
Shaft Diameter 17mm
Boots Diameter 50mm/17mm

You can find similar tie rod, but may not fully compatible. I couldn't find anything with the same groove position for the boots. But, it will be modify easily.

In Japan, 45503-49115 and 45503-49105 of TOYOTA seems still available.
You may be better find from FORD to easy to get in U.S.

Hi,

I ordered SR-T490 of 555, instead of TOYOTA 45503-49105.

http://www.sankei-555.com/search/lis...mno=OEM-NUMBER

It's bit cheaper.

It is on backorder and is expected to arrive in mid to late November. Apparently it's out of stock, but they'll make it for me.

Of course, I will report it once I tried it.

P.S. I am working with other my SUBARU which has problem ABS controller. It is more serious problem.

I received the 3rd party rackend of Toyota Ipsam and looks almost same as SVX.

Only difference is diameter of the shaft. Orignal is 17mm but this is 19mm. The difference is small, so it may not problem.

I will try to replace once I get well, so I am catching cold.

If shaft diameter becomes an issue, I would try using an adjustable boot which I found. It has some different diameter on the steering rack side, cut the smaller part to adjust it. The rubber is soft and seems to stretch a little.

The last time I replaced a torn boot the OEM wouldn't fit. The shop ended up using a universal boot based on the diameter. It has worked well for 4 years now.

Great work finding an interchange!
