Upper (fixed) window glass removal
So I got a replacement door for my SVX, but it's maroon (not sure if it's Claret or Bordeaux though) and so of course the tint color is wrong. Is the fixed portion of the window a pain in the %$@# to get off? I'm sure it can't be any worse than a windshield... Gotta swap that plus the movable portion of the window from my door and paint it...

Different tint? I thought Bordeaux and Claret both came with bronze tint. It is a pain in the @#$% to change. Mine was loose on the Ebony '92 and I couldn't find a glass shop that would touch it. Fixed it myself.

This manual covers removal and replacement of every piece of glass on the SVX. http://www.phantomotaku.com/SVX/MSA5...nd_windows.pdf Clarets and Bordeauxs both have the same bronze tint. |
Re: Upper (fixed) window glass removal
He's saying the replacement door is either bordeaux or claret. His car is pearl and therefore has blue glass...

Just saw his sig. Probably more cost-effective and less hassle to find another door with the correct tint and avoid the problem of repaint.. There have to be a few out there... 2 complete uninstalls and 1 complete reinstall Right and left 1994 pearl doors on ebay now.
