Service Manual CD Rom

Has any one on the network bought this Disk Im would like to know if it is a complete set of manuals scanned to disk (including the supplement) or if it's a waste of $$$

Is it indexed and easy to search through? or is it a pita?

I have never heard of there being a cd version of the service manual. Unless someone scanned it and copied it

From what I recall

from the few people here who have purchased this disk (not me), it is not a factory service manual and as such is lacking in details.

Thats kinda what I figured, I do wish some computer geek would scan the Factory Manuals to disk and aaahem "give em' away" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean, know what I mean) :p :D :p

Sacrifice the manuals for a good cause

Have a sign up - the way Dayle did for the silicone hoses - for people interested in paying you a reasonable fee to buy the CD version of your copied torn out manual pages. If we each fork over, say, 20 bucks and the interest is high enough - 20 people or so, you'll have more than paid for the set and we will all be that much more grateful to you for youe contribution.

Wulf,
If you could get your hands on a hand held document scanner, you wouldn't have to tear em' up :D

From the link Matt posted: "I spent $30 on this on eBay, the seller claims its a copy of the service manual for the 1992 Subaru SVX. He also has an unlimited supply of the CDs (they are simply burned copies) and sells one for each MY of the car. Whether or not its really a Subaru service manual I can't say, but at least its fairly complete."
So Im guessing it is the same disk that is now on-line and also currently being sold on e-bay in the auction I linked to.
And there was some question as to if it was the "real" subbie manual.

For $20 you can download the REAL service manuals right from Subaru.
