Summit Point Experience
First of all it was not me who got to do this.:( This was a birthday present for my girlfriend. On top of that, I was not even able to attend the event as I was up in Boston that weekend. So, she went with her sister (who took the pictures). That is her driving the yellow Gallardo LP560-4

Re: Summit Point Experience
That's awesome. I'm going in June to drive the Jefferson circuit at Hyperfest. My brother does the HPDE's there almost once a month on whatever track the host club is running. I've got to use the big skidpad there already and got to sneak a few laps around Jefferson .
I'm sure the Lambo was much more fun than a beat up SVX will be. |

I'm almost afraid to ask how much this present must have cost you...
-Bill p.s. not going to be interested in the Hoosiers, as I already have a set in storage ;) |
Re: Summit Point Experience
I try looking at the Lambo but, keep getting distracted.:D
What an awesome gift. Gene |

I've been looking for a good dedicated track car too. Mostly looking at Miatas or E30/E36. Either of those seem to be the most economical and reliable way to get on the track. |
Re: Summit Point Experience
I will drive that track before I die!
Bucket list! |
Re: Summit Point Experience
I would vote for VIR before Summit Point I think...

Re: Summit Point Experience
Agreed - VIR is a grand track and a superb facility! What is it, 3.27 miles with 16 - 17 turns and a mile straight? And smooth as glass too. Love that track. But that said, the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit is pretty good too - very technical with 2 mile length with 17 turns. My '92 SVX (with Konis) actually does quite well there - I just wish I had 100 more HP :D
BTW, my son instructs there for TrackDaze .... Harry |
